Jaidee’s Birth Story 2025 | Utah Birth Photography

I was beyond excited to get a call from Kami that she was in labor and needed me to come photograph her rainbow baby!  Kami has become a friend through photography so I was honored to be there.  The day started out slow and quickly took a turn!  She got her epidural when she was 4cm and surprised her doctor by transitioning to 10cm within a couple hours.  She started feeling a lot of pressure, so they called the doctor to hurry over.  I’ve never photographed a nurse delivering but we were really close!  The doctor came in and delivered within a couple minutes!  Baby Jaidee was perfect!  She had the cutest light colored hair and big, beautiful lips!  Kami’s body didn’t want to stop bleeding, and they almost needed to perform surgery but luckily, it slowed over the next couple of days.  When their son came to meet her I had tears in my eyes as he welcomed her and loved on her.  These are the moments that make it all worthwhile!
